Overview

  • Responsible for the design, development and implementation of leadership and management development programs
  • The role is also responsible for the strategy and approach related to professional development at all levels
  • As part of a global team, the Director of Leadership Development will embed leadership and managerial capability into Home Credit’s culture and practices using social, mobile and as well as traditional learning methods
  • This role will report to the Chief People Officer

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategy, design/development and implementation of leadership and management development for the approximately 13000 employees
  • Build Home Credit’s leadership development core curriculum and rollout through strong partnership with business, function and people partners
  • Design and develop for multiple delivery modalities that help leaders learn within the flow of work when possible, including virtual, social, and classroom
  • Select and develop trainers, facilitators and content creators to deliver the core curriculum
  • Elevate Home Credit’s brand and reputation as a developer of leadership talent in the financial services industry
  • Build strategy and oversee implementation for common professional development offerings
  • Lead Home Credit’s approach to the development of the internal HR/People professionals
  • Identify and incorporate new methodologies for evaluating the impact of learning experiences
  • Partner closely with the talent and performance management experts to build manager capability (talent identification and retention, having quality conversations related to performance, aspirations, and development, etc.)
  • Partner closely with the Diversity experts on the development and management of leadership programs targeting high potential women across the company
  • Influence and manage all stakeholders to implement the portfolio of responsibilities
  • Foster integration and alignment with ExCo Development, Talent Management, Coaching, Mentoring, Recruiting and Diversity
  • Partner with internal team members to develop and maintain communication forums for students and faculty members of preferred campuses
  • Keep abreast of external best practices and benchmarking in the field of leadership development

 

Management experience

  • 15+ years’ experience in Training/Leadership Development/Learning role, Business or Organizational Development background
  • Successful record of training design and development of leaders
  • Background in leadership development theories and frameworks, with proven experience in practical application
  • Significant human resources experience, preferably in performance management, rewards, pay and incentives
  • Capability to instil and communicate a vision for change
  • Broad knowledge and experience with HR systems, competencies, and best practices
  • Ability to implement change management processes effectively
  • Platform skills, strong training or performance consultant background
  • Strong group process and facilitation skills; ability to synthesize feedback/input from a variety of sources
  • Breadth of experience in needs assessment, adult learning theories, instructional design, and evaluation tools and techniques
  • Proven experience in organizational change management

  • Exceptional verbal, written communication and presentation skills to effectively address all levels within the organization

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, or related field required from a top school
  • MBA or other advanced degree strongly preferred
